Overview
Alias is building a global directory of popularized individuals in tech, with all of their content automatically aggregated and indexed. There’s currently a surplus of media—podcasts, tweets, talks, TikToks, panels, and the like—and their idea is to make it easier to keep up and get notified when something is shared across channels.
Their mission is to allow for an easier absorption of the intelligence around us by embracing the beauty of the internet. As a result, they coined the name around the way we’ve come to know individuals within that space—with handles, or online aliases.
Considerations
Symbology was inspired by the address sign (‘@’) found attached to online handles. This, coupled with the feeling of a fingerprint pattern, represents the concept of modern identity.
Additionally acts as a nod to a camera’s aperture, communicating the focus that Alias brings to staying informed.
A lowercase ‘a’ was formed within their mark to stand for Alias and aid in recall.
